The program aims at providing participants with the theoretical knowledge, applications and practical skills of “Trade and Travel Retail Management” where participants will be able to understand “Trade” in general and “Retail Management” in specific, including types, nature and location of work, as well as acquire the managerial, financial, marketing and technical skills necessary for the Duty Free Shops staff.

The training program includes the following training fields:

  1. Trade: origin of trade, types, and ways of practicing trade.
  2. Duty free shops: types (borders, airports, on ships) and the contemporary directions in duty free shops.
  3. Managerial Skills (Planning, Organizing, Leading and Controlling, Stress Management, Business Ethics, Change Management, Critical Thinking).
  4. Communication Skills
  5. Total Quality Programs and Standards of Institutional Excellence
  6. Sales Techniques and Customer Service
  7. Conversational Skills in English
  8. Accounting for Non-Accountants
  9. Finance for Non-Financial Managers
  10. Supply Chain Management and Inventory Management
  11. Regulatory Legislations
  12. Performance Evaluation Skills
  13. Time Management
  14. Marketing Skills
  15. Etiquette and Protocol
  16. ICDL Course
  17. Report Writing and Analytical Skills

This program will enable participants to work in Retail, noting that this program is the first in the Middle East region.

Program Duration:

The duration of the Training Diploma in Trade and Travel Retail Management is 6 months and one month for internship.

Target Audience:

All duty free shops employees and trade employees from trade and/or retail.
