Training Diploma in Culinary Arts

General Objective

To familiarize students with the practical applications of culinary arts, and to enable them to master the principles and procedures of food safety and hygiene. Moreover, the students will be introduced to the equipment and tools used in the kitchen, and become proficient in their practice Western and Eastern culinary arts in all kitchen sections: Hot, Cold and Desserts.

Number of Hours

(572) practical and theoretical hours out of which (200) hours are dedicated for internship in designated hotels.

Period of Study

9 months (7 months theoretical and practical / 2 months internship in the designated hotel).

Type of Study

80% practical and 20% theoretical.

Target Audience

This course is particularly appropriate for people who wish to improve or learn new skills in the field of Culinary Arts. Furthermore, this specialization opens up new horizons for those wishing to work in Hotel kitchens and restaurants. In addition, it gives students who were not successful in Al Tawjihi exam the opportunity to learn skills that will help them ensure a future career.

  6. A Certificate of Health from Amman Municipality.
  7. A Certificate of Non - Conviction (Justice Court).
